I write on a daily basis, and have attended short courses at Lumb Bank with the Arvon Foundation, and at Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh under the umbrella of the Scottish Arts Council. I have been a member of a number of Edinburgh writing groups, most recently Visible Ink a writing group I helped form. The group concentrates on craft issues through the critique of work in progress, and can boast three published novelists and many more member successes in other forms. I am also a member of NOVELDOC, a prestigious on-line writing group based in the USA, which only critiques complete novels. Our 'in house' publishing venture Great Reads Books is having great success with the novel 'The Jesus Thief'. I am involved in a number of other creative activities; pottery, sculpture, watercolours, cartooning. My latest interest is photography, and I have recently exhibited and sold a number of prints. I regularly perform my poetry and short stories at local venues.
